Designed in 1995 as a departure from the
Glide series, the Superior features a solid
alder body with a striking double cutaway. Also included is a set maple neck
with a 25. 5” scale set maple neck and a
Brazilian rosewood fingerboard.
The neck pickup is a Lollar P- 90 and the
bridge pickup is a TV Jones Electroflux
pickup, which are unusual due to their
voicing with a mixture of magnets and an
asymmetrical coil. The bridge is a Pigtail
wraparound and the tuners are locking
Gotohs. The guitar is topped off with a
vintage-style two tone burst and nitrocellulose lacquer finish.
