LES PAUL
CUSTOM
This well-worn road warrior Gibson Les Paul
Custom is a 1978 model, in a rare silverburst finish. Two Tom Anderson humbuckers have been
installed, an H3 in the bridge and an H1 in the
neck, and the frets have been replaced with a
stainless steel type, which form a pyramid shape.
The instrument is actually a factory second, but
surprisingly there are no structural flaws. There
is a slight flaw in the back burst tip, which is the
likely reason why it was stamped a “second.”
The story that came with the guitar is that it once
belonged to Steven Van Zandt of The E Street
Band. [As of press time, PG has been unable to
confirm this.]
