Studio Devil Virtual Bass Amp: Tube Modeling Plug-in
Studio Devil announced the release of Virtual Bass Amp, which brings
new tube amp modeling technology to bassists and recording professionals on all Mac and Windows recording platforms. Combined with
its power amp, limiter, speaker cabinet, and graphic equalizer models,
Studio Devil VBA provides plenty tonal possibilities. It includes 12AX7
vacuum tube bass preamplifier emulation with Gain control, a Boost
switch to “hot rod” the amp and Bass, Tone and MIDI knobs. It also features a Soft/Hard clipping meter control, Deep and Bright switches, built-in 4x10 and 1x15 cabinet simulation, “Direct Box” mode for compatibility
for other modeling plug-ins and a 7-Band Graphic EQ.

Jackson SLS3 Soloist
Jackson unleashes another member to the Soloist family with the SLS3 as it complements its predecessor, the SLSMG, by offering dual Seymour Duncan Zebra ’ 59 passive pickups and shark-eye
fingerboard inlays. The SLS3 is the lightest variation of the Soloist model Mike Shannon designed
over 25 years ago. In addition, it features a mahogany carved-top body, mahogany neck-through-body,
compound radius ebony fingerboard, string-through-body bridge and black hardware. This Jackson
includes a 24-fret neck and 25 ½” scale. The SLS3 also marks the appearance of a brand-new
Jackson finish: Swirl Green. Other finishes include Black, Satin Black and Snow White.
