Avenged Sevenfold guitarists Zacky Vengeance and Synyster Gates with their Custom Schecters. Vengeance
is playing a three-piece mahogany Custom Shop S- 1 model with Seymour Duncan HB- 102 pickups. Gates
is playing a three-piece mahogany Synyster Custom with Seymour Duncan Custom Invader pickups with
overwound coils. Gates made a point to be the first Schecter player to have an Avenger body style with a
Scorpion headstock and added the silver “pimp” stripes for extra flair. Photographer Jasen Petersen
commented that in this photo, Vengeance and Gates shredded meticulously in unison on “Afterlife”.
