In this shot, we see why so many people have
drawn distinctly eerie comparisons between
Hank III and his grandfather, Hank Williams Sr.
Both were equipped with deceitfully innocent
smiles and classic country crooning voices...
then there are the famous disputes with
Nashville. The bluntly direct message displayed
on his Guild acoustic announces Williams’
discontent with his old label, Curb Records,
and the legal troubles surrounding the release
of Thrown Out of the Bars. It was eventually
reworked and released as Straight to Hell.
