CDH Software that will allow users to install
educational modules to learn concepts in all
different genres of guitar. With both official
lessons and user lessons, the company says the
content will be “infinitely expanding.” CDH
hopes to have the software available by fall, and
is looking for both beta testers and instructors to
get the site and software into shape.

Be a Beta Tester
This month we look at two sites in development that you can be involved in from
the ground up: Guitar Unleashed lessons and Fuzztopia music community
will be compensated and would have the
opportunity to sell their own lessons through
a Guitar Unleashed shop.
Fuzztopia
Fuzztopia is a new music community site from
Stevie Van Zandt that is looking for beta testers
to populate the site and forums and provide
feedback. The site is being marketed as a “
one-stop-shop” for fans and bands.
Testers
CDH is also looking for beta testers to test
their new software. Potential beta testers
will need to provide details of their guitar
and computer experience, and any other
beta testing experience. Testers will also
receive the full software for free when it
officially launches.
Creators see Fuzztopia as a place for people
to share advice and tools in sections like “City
Secrets” and “Techville.” Content will come
from users and from established musicians.
Users will also be able to purchase songs and
albums from bands, including exclusive content.
Instructors
Instructors would be required to create a set
of lessons at all skill levels in a given topic.
They will need to be able to record video,
create audio backing tracks, and provide
tab/notation and a summary of the lesson.

One of the most promising features of the
site is the “City Secrets” section where
people can share restaurants, bars and
clubs in their cities. The section “Fuzz TV”
will include live concert footage, original
programming and music videos.
The site’s creators want beta testers to
sign up, create profiles, add videos and
city secrets, comment on others’ content
and create playlists. The testers are also
encouraged to give feedback on things that
could improve the site.
Fuzztopia is offering incentives for testers as
well. One grand prize winner will win a pair of
tickets to any one of Bruce Springsteen and
the E Street Band’s remaining tour dates, as
well as passes to meet Stevie backstage before
the show. One first prize winner will receive a
Fender Stratocaster Squier Classic ‘50s guitar
signed by Stevie Van Zandt. There will also be
fifteen winners of an Underground Garage radio
show script signed by Stevie Van Zandt.
