MOOG GUITAR MODEL E1
Moog is introducing the next step in the evolution of the Moog Guitar: the Model E1.
This production model uses the same innovative electronics and pickups as the original Paul Vo Collector Edition,
but with some exciting new changes. It’s available in three new finishes, Butterscotch, Candy Red and Black, and
now sports chrome hardware, a solid alder body, a choice of fixed or tremolo bridges and a new lower price tag.
The Model E1 gives energy to, and takes energy away from, the strings. The resulting timbres do not rely on effects or post-processing, but are created directly from the strings. Full Sustain mode clearly and powerfully sus- tains all six strings anywhere on the neck; in Mute mode the pickups remove energy from the strings, resulting in short, staccato timbres; in Controlled Sustain mode the Model E1 sustains the strings being played, while remov- ing energy from the strings that aren’t, resulting in fluid, sustained lead lines. With Harmonic Blends, one pickup sustains the strings while the other attempts to mute them. Using the supplied control pedal guitarists can move the energy back and forth between the pickups, resulting in natural, shifting harmonics directly from the strings. Combine all this with the onboard Moog Filter, additional piezo pickups and Control Voltage input and you’ve got an instrument to fuel a lifetime of sonic exploration.

ROTOSOUND BRITISH STEEL STRINGS
Based on the original classic Rotosound Stainless Steel Electric Guitar Strings from the 1960s,
Rotosound’s British Steels are now manufactured using improved processes and materials.
Their original stainless steel strings already have a pedigree second to none: they were used
by Jimi Hendrix, Pete Townsend, Brian May and many others. Rotosounds stainless steel
strings offered a clear, bright punchy sound, positive grip, plenty of twang and went on to be
played on some of the greatest songs of all time.
The new Rotosound British Steels have been designed to give a brilliant tone, sustain and
great volume. Using the very best stainless steel with the highest possible iron content (for
better magnetic properties), the new strings are now manufactured under even tighter quality control and stricter tolerances to ensure consistency, clarity and durability.
