(swan owners unite)
mojocaster.com: I love Gerard’s work
as you know... here are vids of the Cajun
Gentleman I used to own:

Some pics:
reverend McGee: It’s an exclusive club I
look to be a part of very shortly. I can’t wait to
receive my very own Soloway.
He’s only made a little over 200 guitars so it’s
quite an exclusive club. :P Glassy guitars,
classy builder.
If you own one please show it off so I can
gaze longingly.
GtrDr: He’s a class act. If Baritone is your
thing, he’s the best.
edwarddavis: I
would have thought
way more than 200
guitars were built by
Jim. Seriously , oh
well. I got my two
wildstar: A blurry
photo of my Swan
Classic. Jim and I are
currently discussing
plans for my second.
And I can distantly
imagine my third.
These guitars are
habit-forming, and
might make you
neglect your other
guitars, and steal your parents’ TV to buy
more Swans.
Jim Soloway should be a controlled substance.
You have been warned.
Oh, and reentune has like thirteen other
freaking Swans. I’ve seen ‘em and pawed ‘em.
Don’t think for a second that that photo above
represents his entire collection. He needs help.
googoobaby: But they’re not baritones at all.
reverend McGee: Nope. : 3 I’m excited!
shadscbr: Here is
a shot of my 7 string
Bubinga/Ash Swan
atquinn: This
recently-received
Melancon is the finest
HSH Superstrat I’ve
played:
Wildwind: This is
my number 1 as it has
been for years now.
It’s a dream guitar that
gets better with age. It
was my honor to meet
Gerard and call him friend (as he is to all who
meet him) and order this from him personally.
This guitar is used exclusively for praise &
worship music with a very dynamic worship
team. It is beautiful to the eye, to the touch,
and to the ears (most of the time anyway...).
Scott, thanks for posting this! I miss the old
forum terribly and just yesterday finally deleted
the links from my favorites, hoping that the
power of denial would prevail!
Jason_

Caught me in the
middle of a string
change, but here is my
wedge of Swans.
George4908:
Cocobolo top on mine:
reentune: One
quarter of my flock:
The greatest 7-string
electric Cliff Cultreri
ever heard! And a
year or two ago, it
would have been in
Jason’s photo above.
reentune: Damn,
that’s so hot, Shad!
And wildstar is right,
I’m addicted. Gotta get
me a fix soon or I just
might spaz out!
Jim, help a junkie out.
One more for a
tease...a twin to the
other 7 (the tops come from the same piece
of flame mahogany):
Sorry you have to twist your neck to gawk
at them.
sfarnell:
reverend McGee: Mine is on its way,
but FedEx hasn’t updated it’s tracking on
the package since tuesday and I’m a bit
concerned. :/
