Jeff “Skunk” Baxter explores the neck of a Gibson Super
400 CES during a guest performance with the Les Paul
Trio. Baxter and Paul were friends for many years and
had played together many times, with Skunk often filling
in on guitar or bass at Paul’s famous weekly gigs. These
days, Baxter spends much of his time as a consultant for
defense contractors and government agencies. He has a
long list of session credits and is known for his years as
a Doobie Brother and for playing with Steely Dan from
Can’t Buy a Thrill to Pretzel Logic.
