The Big Four Play “Am I Evil?” – Anthrax, Slayer, Metallica, and Megadeth share a stage
for the first time ever for the Diamond Head classic. It was also the first time Mustaine and
Hetfield had shared a stage in 27 years. Heads explode around the world.
The Edge Joins Muse at Glastonbury – After U2 had to pull out of headlining UK’s biggest
festival due to Bono’s health issues, the Edge made a surprise appearance for “Where the Streets
Have No Name” during Muse’s headlining encore.
Paul Stanley Smashes for You – For a mere $5500, you can have Paul smash a guitar
in concert in your honor. You get to keep the bits and pieces of the axe, but you still have to
buy a ticket to get in the door.
Ozzy/Zakk Split Drama – In recent interviews, Ozzy Osborne has been giving different
reasons for his split with Zakk Wylde, telling one magazine he wanted to let Zakk focus on
Black Label Society, and another that he couldn’t be around Zakk’s drinking. Looks like the
Prince of Darkness needs to get his story straight.
Concert Tickets, Three Easy Payments! – The Oct. 29-31 Voodoo Experience music
festival in New Orleans (featuring Ozzy, Muse, Weezer, and a zillion others) is offering a three-day
pass for three easy payments of $57 (or $150 all at once). It’s a good value, but financing a festival
pass just feels weird.
Concerts on the Big Screen – After the Big Four concert (see above) was simulcast
successfully to theaters across the world, we’re hoping more major events offer this option for
those who can’t attend.

HE IS MISSED
STILL
If the instruments can’t be restored, they should be
donated to a charity and auctioned as display art. Not
only did they bring joy to tens of thousands of fans,
but they now serve as historical artifacts of one the
most devastating floods in US history. The guitars still
have value and can still serve a greater purpose.

“It’s also on a floodplain.” Aha! THIS
is what I was looking for. The building
was on a floodplain yet all the gear
was stored at water level. Cute.

Major mindblow!
Can’t wait to turn
those knobs!
its really sad to see all that history
damaged some for good. i don’t
have anything special in my selection
of guitars but if they got damaged
like these i would be pretty upset,
imagine what the owners of these
relics feel like. its very sad.
Stunning, love the look
