SAUNTER WITH US THROUGH NASHVILLES SUMMER NAMM 2010 SHOW TO SNIFF OUT THE LATEST GEAR GOODIES
BY THE PREMIER GUITAR STAFF
We had no idea what to expect as we headed off to this year’s Summer NAMM show, which was held June 18-20 at the Nashville Convention Center. Coming less than two months after Music City’s cata- strophic flood, the event had everyone wondering if the beloved town would be the same. To our delight, all the restaurants and establishments were not only open, but overflowing with energy and
music—just as they’ve always been.
Despite the absence of some big names (including Fender, Gibson, PRS, and Marshall), our six-editor team
scoured every nook and cranny of the convention center floor and found compelling new gear around every corner. Although we don’t have room to include everyone we would like in this recap—for instance, we loved what
we saw from J. Backlund Design, Forrest Custom Guitars, Premier Builders Guild, Timara String Benders, and
Oriolo Guitars—you can see the intriguing products from these companies and more in our online NAMM photo
gallery ( premierguitar.com/jul2010). As always, we also have video demos and full news releases for even more
new gear released at the show online at premierguitar.com.
