Fan to Interview Iggy and the Stooges – A contest will give one fan the chance to
interview and shoot video with Iggy and the Stooges for a DVD release. Organizers say more
artists will follow.
Ronnie Wood: Stones Aren’t Over – Sober and 63, Wood told a UK newspaper the band
will “rock ’til we drop.” After seeing Wood healthy and happy at Crossroads, we’re more than happy
to watch ’til they drop.
Pigeons Derail Kings of Leon – In what will go down as one of the least rock ‘n’ roll
moves of all time, the band cut a St. Louis show short after three songs due to pigeons
defecating on the bassist.
GN’R Goes to Sturgis – The current iteration of Guns N’ Roses is playing the band’s first US
show in four years, headlining the fifth and final night of a big festival during the Sturgis biker rally.
That’s not an ideal place for Axl to pull an Axl.
Gibson Launches Henry J. Forum – The Gibson CEO has yet to answer your questions
submitted to him for Go Ahead and Ask earlier this year, but he’s now answering screened
questions from fans and critics in his own forum. We love the idea of Henry Juskiewicz finally
engaging in dialogue with the public, whether it’s via Premier Guitar or not. We just haven’t been
overwhelmed with his answers … so far.

“Just like good friends,” we seem to be drawn towards the things we
think we like and often make up our mind too quickly. I really appreciate
your encouragement to stay open to the possibilities and really listening
to the qualities that are present instead of working towards (and at
times forcing) an end goal. We often miss the beauty that is right in
front of us by trying to find what we think will make us happiest. Thanks
for the sage advice that applies to a lot more than just guitars.
there is a bit of a killer guitar
scene going on up there I heard
they crush old tubes and put ‘em
