PHo To oF THE MoNTH
This month’s fan photo comes from Johan Otterdale
who caught a wave with his acoustic in Fuerteventura,
Canaries, Spain, in 2008. He says, “Took three tries
before I managed to actually jump on the wave with
one hand, holding the water-filled guitar with the
other. Tried to play ‘Keep on Rocking in the Free
World.’ … Interesting sound when the guitar was
half-full of water—about three times heavier as well.”
Well, Johan, we salute you for your perseverance
and accomplishing something we’re pretty sure none
of us could pull off. Keep on rocking!
For next month’s Facebook Photo of the Month
contest, post your best guitar-related photo—cool
gear, concerts, your band, you reading PG in unique
places, or anything else you’ve got legal rights to
post—on our wall and we’ll pick one winner to feature here in the magazine and on our Facebook page.
