On the second night of the band’s
2012 winter club tour, Big Head Todd
and the Monsters frontman Todd
Park Mohr (aka Big Head Todd) gets
things started in Nashville with one
of his three Del Toro guitars built by
luthier Brian Deckebach. Purchased in
2006, this handmade Veronica model is
outfitted with three handwound single-coils and has already been re-fretted
with stainless steel. “Todd’s crushing
attack and power burns through regular
wire like butter,” says Deckebach.
