After fighting prostate cancer for many years,
legendary American rock guitarist Ronnie Montrose
passed away on March 3 in his San Francisco-area
home. He was 64 years old. Best known for his work
as the leader of the band Montrose, the guitar wizard
also played alongside such luminaries as Edgar Winter,
Van Morrison, Boz Scaggs, and Herbie Hancock.
