PG reader Chuck Jonkey channeled an interest in Native American culture into this customized
acoustic “Pow Wow” guitar. Inspired by sacred “war shirts” worn by Native American warriors, the guitar is covered
in leather with buckskin
fringe, turquoise-beaded
rosette, and locks of horsehair. As for the tone of the
guitar underneath all of
that leather, Jonkey says:
“Actually, the guitar sounds
great, I’m finishing a
recording with it now.”
